Supply Nurse (Kowloon Bay and Pok Fu Lam campus)

• Provide appropriate first aid and care to students and staff members on a daily basis.
• Administer medication to students as required.
• Liaise with the parents of students whose medical condition gives cause for concern.
• Provide general advice, guidance and training to staff for initial care of students with particular medical needs.
• Accompany student or staff members to hospital if necessary.
• Inform the Head of School or other senior staff of any critical illness or injury.
• Maintain first aid items for the medical room and first aid boxes located around the school.
• Ensure safe storage, usage and disposal of medical supplies and drugs.
• Maintain school records for all children, recording all visits to the medical room and treatment given.
• Maintain an Accident register and ensure the timely completion of accident report forms.
• Be familiar with Hong Kong Government Policy/Health Education Department relating to health, medical treatment and accident procedures and ensure that such policies are implemented.
• To accompany students off school premises if required as directed by teachers, but usually in the presence of a teacher with prior agreement to assist with residential visits.
• To maintain a register of ‘children at risk’ and to inform staff of the signs, symptoms and emergency procedures related to these children’s conditions.
• To promote a positive image of Kellett School in the immediate and wider community.  To maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to students, staff, school management and parents.
• Monitor attendance.
• To carry out such other duties within the postholder’s capabilities as may be reasonably requested.

• A registered nurse qualification is preferred but not essential.

• With Paediatric and work experience in the education sector or school environment would be an advantage.
