About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Additional Support team in the Senior School, with a particular focus on supporting students within the Science faculty. This role is ideal for someone passionate about science, inclusive education and committed to helping students thrive academically, socially and emotionally.  
 
 
Job Specification: 

The successful candidate will: 

• Support students in science lessons across the Senior School, ensuring access to learning and full participation. 
• Provide targeted science support through small group work and 1:1 sessions, both in and out of the classroom. 
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). 
• Collaborate with teachers and the Additional Support Coordinator to deliver effective interventions. 
• Work alongside external professionals (e.g., speech and language therapists, occupational therapists) as needed. 
• Support students with emotional and behavioural needs, promoting positive social interactions. 
• Help maintain accurate records of student progress and support strategies. 
• Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. 
 
Terms and Conditions:

Working Hours:  Monday to Friday (term time only) 
Base:  Kowloon Bay Campus
Working hours:  Full time: 40 hours per week; Part time: 20 hours per week (actual work hours to be confirmed)
Contract: Ongoing

Person Specification
 

Essential:

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong interest or background in Science.
  • Good technical and computer literacy.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. 
 
Desirable: 
  • Experience working with students with additional learning needs or special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices in international school settings.
