About The Role

The First-Line IT Support Officer is part of a team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of technical devices and infrastructure within the school, supporting both staff and students. The officer also supports several other systems/platforms within the school, including, but not limited to, MS365, Google, MDM - Mosyle, the IT Ticketing System, and the IT Asset Tracking System.

General duties

  • Helpdesk & on-site support for students & staff 
  • Hardware & software installation and troubleshooting 
  • Backup & Recovery operations 
  • Support Asset tracking & reporting 
  • Work with vendors and outsourced resources as appropriate
  • Support classroom technology initiatives
  • Support school events, including physical movement on equipment
  • Liaise with Managed Service Partners
  • Undertake any other relevant tasks as assigned by the incumbent’s supervisor
  • Manage MacOS/iOS devices via MDM (mobile device management)

About You

Requirements
  • University Degree/Diploma in an appropriate discipline
  • A good understanding of IT systems, hardware and software is expected
  • Relevant experience in user support is required
  • Knowledge and working experience on the Apple & Windows platform
  • Knowledge of display technologies e.g. Interactive Screens, Apple TV, Video Conferencing system
  • Automation of processes via scripting (PowerShell/VBScript/Batch) preferable.
  • Apple, Microsoft Windows Server or Network qualifications (e.g. ACSP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA etc) preferable.
  • Experience with TCP/IP Services / switches / VLANS preferable
  • Self-motivated, well organised and responsible
  • Able to work both independently and in a team
  • Good English communication skills
 
Terms and Conditions
Location:     Pok Fu Lam Campus (PFL) / Kowloon Bay Campus (KLB)
Working times:
    7.45 am to 4.15 pm, Monday to Friday, both campuses
   (Time may be adjusted subject to additional support needed)
