About The Role

Main Purpose

To manage, monitor and provide effective technical support to the Media Department through a wide range of tasks. 

Under the direction of the Head of Media:

  • Provide technical support to the Media Department
  • Set up and handle audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with media related projects both with the classroom and in events.
  • Assist in the management of Media spaces, including the classroom and Multimedia Studio.
  • Support students and Media Department staff to ensure seamless operations and the successful delivery of media content.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be requested by the Head of Media to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.

About You

Requirements:
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with media production workflows and post-production processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of copyright laws and licensing requirements related to media content.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students, collaborate with team members and assist non-technical staff.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
 Experience:
  • Proven experience operating audiovisual equipment and software, such as cameras, microphones, lighting systems, and video editing tools.
