About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Additional Support team in the Senior School, with a particular focus on supporting students with maths and/or science. This role is ideal for someone passionate about maths and/or science, inclusive education and committed to helping students thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Job Specification:

The successful candidate will:

• Support students in maths and/or science lessons across the Senior School, ensuring access to learning and full participation.
• Provide targeted maths and/or science support through small group work and 1:1 sessions, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers and the Additional Support Coordinator to deliver effective interventions.
• Work alongside external professionals (e.g., speech and language therapists, occupational therapists) as needed.
• Support students with emotional and behavioural needs, promoting positive social interactions.
• Help maintain accurate records of student progress and support strategies.
• Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Terms and Conditions:

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (term time only)
Base: Kowloon Bay Campus
Working hours: Part time: 20 hours per week (actual work hours to be confirmed)
Contract: Fixed

About You

Person Specification

Essential:

Excellent spoken and written English.
Strong interest or background in maths and/or science.
Good technical and computer literacy.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

Experience working with students with additional learning needs or special educational needs.
Familiarity with inclusive education practices in international school settings.
